In 2000, the Dongzhuang waste incineration power generation program in Wenzhou was launched. It was completed and started power generation in November, honored as the “first milestone for the development and implementation of waste incineration power generation technology domestication” by Ministry of Construction.
In 2002, the Linjiang waste incineration power generation program in Wenzhou was launched. It was completed and started power generation in April next year.This Project is a demonstration project of the National 863 Program “Urban Household Waste Incineration Technology and Equipment Project”.
In April 2004, the initial symposium of nationwide municipal solid waste incineration technology was jointly organized by Weiming and China Association of Urban Environmental Sanitation in Wenzhou.
In July 2005, Weiming became the first enterprise to obtain the first class qualification in environment protection facility operation and household waste treatment approved by the Ministry of Environment Protection.
In September 2006, Kunshan waste incineration power generation project in Jiangsu Province was connected and started power generation. It is a top-grade resource recycling and utilization project in Jiangsu Province. Ranked at the top of the “Top 10 waste disposal cases in China for 2010”, the second phase will focus on the Clean Development System registered with the United Nations.
In 2009, the Qionghai waste incineration power generation project in Hainan Province with Weiming being the general contractor and providing operational services was completed and put into operation in December.
In February 2011, Shanghai Headquarters was founded. It has established partnereship and cooperation with top science and research institutes in China and around the world. Only by attracting more talents can we expand to more areas and upgrade to new levels.
In May 2012, the 600 ton/day multi-line 2-phase reciprocating household waste incinerator unit independently developed by Weiming which won the “National Key New Product” certificate granted by four ministries and commissions in China.
In January 2013, waste processing unit production base in Binhai Park, Wenzhou City, officially started operation.
In May 2015, Weiming Environment Protection was successfully listed in the main board market of Shanghai Stock Exchange Center. It is the first listed waste incineration and disposal company in China through IPO in domestic securities market.
In July 2015, Weiming signed the project of Wenzhou Kitchen Waste Comprehensive Treatment and Disposal.
In May 2016, the waste incineration power generation project in Jieshou City was signed. Weiming started to enter central China region on project layout. In addition to household waste incineration and power generation, Weiming is also engaging in straw and other agricultural and forestry waste disposal.
In January 2018, Weiming established smart sanitation business, expanding to integrated rural-urban waste collection field.
In March 2018, Weiming Waste Conservancy scientific research projectwon the First Prize of Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award.
In December 2018, Weiming Environment Protection issued convertible bonds worth RMB 670 million Yuan to the public, which is listed and circulated in Shanghai Stock Exchange.
In August 2019, Yongqiang Waste Incineration Power Plant (Phase II) officially won the title of national “AAA Level Household Waste Incineration Plant”.
In November 2019, Singapore Weiming was founded. The company accelerated the pace of overseas business expansion.
In December 2019, Wenzhou Jiawei Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. passed the national high-tech enterprise certification; Weiming Big Data Collection and Monitoring System (SIS) was officially launched.
In March 2020,Weiming Environment Protection Equipment Co., Ltd. was accredited as Zhejiang Provincial Enterprise Research Institute.
In April 2020, the annual report of Year 2019 revealed that the accumulated growth rate of the business income and net profit had exceeded 300% since it was listed 5 years ago.
In May 2020, Weiming High-end Environmental Industrial Park (Phase I) Project started and the manufacturing of company equipment will achieve full upgrading.
In January 2025: Weiming Environmental Protection won the bid for the core equipment procurement of the Gannan Prefecture Domestic Waste Incineration Power Generation Project; Weiming Shengqing was selected as a Zhejiang Province RCEP Innovative Practice Case.
In February 2025: Zhejiang Jiawei New Energy Group Co., Ltd.'s annual output value exceeded 10 billion yuan for the first time.
In March 2025: The Longwan District People's Government and Weiming Environmental Protection signed a strategic cooperation agreement to jointly pursue the development of the artificial intelligence industry.
In April 2025: The second oxygen-enriched side-blown furnace at the Indonesia Jiaman Project commenced feed-in production.
In May 2025: Weiming Environmental Protection obtained its first US patent authorization; the Yongqiang Slag Resource Utilization Pre-treatment Intelligent Technical Transformation Project commenced trial operation; Weiming Environmental Protection signed a strategic cooperation agreement with China Mobile to jointly pursue "Green Power + Computing Power" AI industry cooperation; Weiming Environmental Protection was awarded the "Excellent Financial Management Award" under the "2024 Listed Company CFO · Jiefu Awards"; the "Ten Years of Perseverance, Gathering Momentum for a New Chapter" Environmental Protection Industry Innovation and High-Quality Development Conference & Weiming Environmental Protection's 10th Anniversary Celebration was successfully held.
In June 2025: The first truck of waste entered the Yongqiang Food Waste Treatment Project; Weiming Environmental Protection established its International Business Headquarters; construction commenced on the Weiming Headquarters Building.
In July 2025: PT Jiaman New Energy Indonesia held a ceremony for the first shipment of nickel matte; Weiming Environmental Protection was awarded the "ESG Benchmark Enterprise Award" by Securities Star in 2025.
In August 2025: The first truck of waste entered the Kunshan Weiming Renewable Resources Project.
In September 2025: The first unit of the Kunshan Weiming Renewable Resources Project successfully achieved grid connection; Weiming Environmental Protection was once again listed on the "2025 Top 500 Private Enterprises for Invention Patents," ranking 284th; China Energy News officially released the "2025 Global Top 500 New Energy Enterprises" list, with Weiming Environmental Protection once again selected, ranking 289th globally; Weiming Environmental Protection won the bid for the EPC general contracting of the Zhenyuan County Domestic Waste Incineration Power Plant Project in Pu'er City; Weiming Environmental Protection received the "Special Contribution Award for Corporate Governance" at the 20th Golden Round Table Awards for Boards of Directors.
In October 2025: Weiming Environmental Protection was officially selected for the list of designated suppliers for the Indonesia Environmentally Friendly Waste-to-Energy Project; Weiming Shengqing officially signed a ternary cathode material precursor cooperation framework agreement with Guangdong Brunp Recycling Technology Co., Ltd.; Weiming Environmental Protection was awarded the Most Valuable Golden Bull Award at the 27th Listed Company Golden Bull Awards selection.
In November 2025: The Longwan Weiming Renewable Resources Project (Food Waste Treatment) officially commenced trial operation; Chairman Xiang Guangming was honored with the title of "2025 Zhejiang Province Outstanding Builder of the Socialist Cause with Chinese Characteristics in the New Era"; Weiming Environmental Protection received the "Outstanding Listed Company Award" at the Securities Star Capital Power Annual Selection 2025; Weiming Equipment Group was awarded the title of National-level "Little Giant" Enterprise specializing and excelling in specific sectors.
In December 2025: The Linjiang Mobile Steam Supply Project, a subsidiary of Weiming Environmental Protection, officially commenced operation; Weiming Environmental Protection was selected as a 2025 Zhejiang Province Service Industry Leading Enterprise, contributing to the high-quality development of the province's service industry; Weiming Environmental Protection received the Sustainable Growth Award under the 2025 Shanghai Securities News Eagle-Gold Quality Awards; Weiming Equipment Group was awarded the title of "Zhejiang Province Enterprise Technology Center."
