Today, the company announced that it will collaborate with Merit International Capital Limited (hereinafter referred to as “Merit Company”) to invest in and develop a laterite nickel ore smelting project in Indonesia, with an annual production of 40,000 tons of nickel metal contained in nickel matte (hereinafter referred to as the “Nickel Matte Project”).
On November 24 last year, Weiming Group signed a “Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement” with Indigo International Investment Limited (hereinafter referred to as “Indigo Company”) regarding the Nickel Matte project. This project will be jointly established by the company or its subsidiary and Merit Company, a subsidiary of Indigo Company, with the company holding a 70% stake and Merit Company holding a 30% stake. The total investment will not exceed USD 390 million.
The new energy market represents another significant move for the company beyond solid waste treatment and environmental protection equipment. This marks that the company’s official entry into the new energy sector, breaking through the existing business structure and opening up new development opportunities.
