From March 28 to April 6, Chairman Xiang Guangming of Weiming Environment Protection embarked on a 10-day business trip to Indonesia. During the visit, he witnessed the signing of the China-Indonesia (Wenzhou) Industrial Park cooperation agreement, inspected construction progress and equipment installation at the Jiaman Project and QMB Project, and met with frontline employees.
On April 3, under the coordination of the Wenzhou Municipal Government and theCoordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment of Indonesia, the Dongtou District Government and the Central Halmahera Regency Government signed a memorandum on industrial park development cooperation. The agreement centers on the Wenzhou New Energy Battery Materials Industrial Park located on Damen Island, marking a collaborative effort to advance the China-Indonesia (Wenzhou) Industrial Cooperation Park. The Wenzhou New Energy Battery Materials Industrial Park, a project invested in by Weiming Environment Protection, represents a critical component of the company’s strategic expansion in the new energy battery materials supply chain. Chairman Xiang attended the signing ceremony as an honored guest.
2023 marks the 10th anniversary of the China-Indonesia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative. Aligning with national strategies, Weiming has actively pursued overseas investments and market development. In early 2022, the company signed its first high-grade nickel matte cooperation project in Indonesia with PT MERIT, initiating its Indonesian investment journey.
To date, Weiming holds stakes in three high-grade nickel matte projects in Indonesia, with a combined annual production capacity of 130,000 tons of nickel metal from high-grade nickel matte. In late 2022, Weiming Environment Protection Equipment Co., Ltd. signed an equipment supply agreement with the QMB Project, further deepening the company’s investment and partnerships in Indonesia. Currently, the Jiaman New Energy Project—Weiming’s first high-grade nickel matte project—is progressing smoothly and is expected to commence trial production in the fourth quarter of this year.
Equipment for the QMB Project has begun shipping and is undergoing installation. During his visit, Chairman Xiang reviewed construction progress at the Jiaman Project and installation status at the QMB Project. He also extended encouragement to frontline staff, emphasizingsafety as the top priority while ensuring quality and timely project delivery.
