On November 10, Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto attended the "China-Indonesia Business Forum," witnessing a new phase of friendly cooperation between the business communities of both countries. As a key Chinese investor in Indonesia, Chairman Xiang Guangming was invited to attend and was warmly received by President Prabowo.
The China-Indonesia Business Forum was a significant stop in President Prabowo’s visit to China, bringing together business representatives from both countries. Gao Yunlong, Vice Chairman of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and Chairman of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, attended the forum and delivered a speech. He expressed China’s willingness to collaborate with various sectors in Indonesia to implement the important consensus reached by President Xi Jinping and President Prabowo, further strengthening trade and investment cooperation, and setting an example of mutual benefit and common development for developing countries and South-South cooperation.
During the forum, President Prabowo delivered an impassioned speech, welcoming Chinese enterprises to invest in Indonesia and expressing his hope for closer cooperation across various sectors to achieve shared prosperity. He emphasized his wish for enduring friendship between China and Indonesia, which was met with enthusiastic applause from the audience.
At the event, President Prabowo had a cordial exchange with Chairman Xiang Guangming, marking their second friendly meeting following their encounter in Indonesia last year.
In recent years, Weiming Environment Protection has actively responded to China’s Belt and Road Initiative, continuously expanding its investments in Indonesia, including nickel raw material production, equipment manufacturing, and environmental protection. The Indonesian government has visited Weiming multiple times for inspections and business discussions and has invited the company’s senior executives to Indonesia for meetings. The growing friendship between both parties has led to expanding cooperation.
